At her dressing table, DTNA Cissy looks forward to her date with the handsome Marine. They plan to dance all night! Her original Madame Alexander gown is black lace over a brown jersey knit lining, with sequin trim at neckline and hem. She has a jersey knit shoulder shrug that incorporates long gloves. Her necklace has brown stones. She has a black velvet drawstring purse trimmed with sequins.
Her dress has a very full flounce from knee to floor, with a bright red lace-trimmed petticoat beneath. All the better for kicking up one's heels!
Her Marine (a Man of Honor doll wearing a genuine USMC medal) is proud to escort her to the Midnight Madness Charity Ball.
After dancing all night, Cissy spends most of the next day in bed. She wears her (store-bought) summer pjs in pink and white.
The next day DTNA Cissy has a shopping expedition planned, wearing a lavender dress with white bolero and matching purse and hat, all made by Jane Perilloux.
Maybe on her next fancy date, DTNA Cissy will wear this lavender and gold brocade strapless gown with stole. Made by BonBon.
Or if the date is less formal, she might wear this black sheath dress with a white flounce. (This was the first dress I ever made for a Cissy doll, and it is a replica of a dress I wore while in college in the sixties.)
When cold weather arrives, Cissy enjoys this fur-trimmed outfit, made by Madame Alexander for another Cissy doll, Vienna. It features a maroon wool slim skirt with a cream silk bodice and a long wool jacket with fur at hem and sleeves. It also has a detachable fur collar, a stole, a beautiful blue brooch, and matching maroon shoes.
Dance the Night Away Cissy, wearing the Vienna suit without the jacket, has tea and cake with Cafe Rose and Ivory Cissy, wearing a BonBon-designed gingham taffeta dress. They use a lovely blue and white miniature china tea set.
