Welcome to BonBon's Toy Closet!

BonBon's Toy Closet in real life contains toys, games, and books for my grandchildren. But several other closets have been taken over for my dolls, doll clothes, doll furniture, doll houses, doll accessories, doll sewing materials, doll trunks, and various doll supplies!

After about 15 years of playing dolls, I decided to share some of the results on this blog. I hope you enjoy looking around. You will find Cissy dolls, vintage hard plastic dolls, Tonner Ann Estelle and Sophie dolls, doll houses, and a variety of other topics.

Smaller Doll Closet

A peek into the smaller doll closet in the hall.  The bottom half is mostly full of many large trunks containing clothes for Cissy, a 21" Madame Alexander fashion doll.  There are a few other trunks here too, and plastic bins with furniture and accessories.

The top half holds boxes of clothes for 8" Wendy dolls, doll stands, pieces of furniture, odds and ends.

Maybe a little discussion about all those trunks is needed, to answer your question of "Why so many trunks?"

I used to keep all the doll clothes in large plastic bins, each outfit in a plastic bag.  That is a good method when playing dolls, because it is easy to see and locate any outfit for the doll being dressed at the moment.  Clothing is not "assigned" to a particular doll.

However, in the last couple of years I have been making trunk sets for various dolls, with the hope of passing these on to children and grandchildren.
